The glasses of the future are here: they allow you to see recipes, read emails and have meetings

QWhen some glasses appear tested in advance on “Wired”, Cnet and The Verge, then there is no doubt that they are really worth taking seriously. And in this case, the new product is called Orion and was also the biggest attraction of Meta’s annual event, when it came to convincing humanity to buy glasses even when there is no myopia or sun rays limiting vision. The rods are bulky, but Meta promises a debut weighing less than 100 grams. Those who have used the Orion say that the current weight is easy to get used to — but it is important to know whether consumers will have the same reaction when they begin to articulate objects and the real world with digital images that appear superimposed on the lenses. Instead of glass or plastic, Meta opted for lenses made from a silicon derivative that reflects images coming from projectors located in the structure of the glasses. With the help of cameras, the glasses are now able to project additional data onto the lenses about the objects and people that the user sees (example: a recipe suggestion while looking at a food). It is also possible to have meetings with people far away, or open and close apps like on your cell phone. All with the help of a bracelet that monitors hand gestures and facilitates interaction with the digital environment reflected in the lenses. It is known that the Orions will not need cables, but there is no launch date yet. Judging by the competition (Snap revealed the Spectacles 5) it will not be surprising that there will be news in the coming months.
