Julian Casablancas on Donald Trump and Kamala Harris: “They are two sides of the same corporate coin”

Julian Casablancas gave an interview to “NME”, where he spoke about the two main candidates for the White House, Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.

The leader of the Strokes, who admits to “supporting” the Democratic Party candidate, is however not impressed with the policies of the two main American parties. “They are two sides of the same corporate coin,” he said.

“O Tim Walz [candidato de Kamala Harris à vice-presidência] He seems like an honest and decent guy to me. Only because of him would I support his team.”

“It’s okay for there to be a woman of color [a candidatar-se] It’s good emotionally speaking: we cross this one off the list and move on. But when it comes to what the people really want, neither party offers it. They have a monopoly on power,” he added.

This is not the first time that Casablancas has rebelled against unregulated capitalism: in 2018, to “Vulture”, he stated that “we are at war against a calculator” and that “in theory, the system is good, but it evolved without having any kind of collar”.
