Paulo Raimundo criticizes parties for “reducing the discussion” of the OE to the measures of IRS Jovem and IRC

Until now, the discussion of the State Budget for 2025 has focused on the two measures – IRS Jovem and the reduction in IRC – which could define the political direction of the country since the PSD does not want to let them go and the PS demands that they fall as a condition for viability. Outside of the negotiations, the PCP is now trying to ensure that the debate does not just stop at these two proposals, but extends to the entire content as a way of proving that the document does not serve the country. One week before the delivery of the OE to Parliament, Paulo Raimundo argued that PSD, PS and Chega are seeking to “reduce the evaluation and scrutiny of the OE to two fiscal measures” with the aim of “evading all the basic options”.
