Iran’s leader calls for support from “all Muslims” for Lebanon and Hezbollah

Without ever talking about Hassan Nasrallah, nor his death, claimed by Israel, the supreme leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, left a very clear message this Saturday about the consequences of the military attacks on Lebanon. “It is obligatory for all Muslims to proudly support the Lebanese people and Hezbollah with their resources and help them confront the usurping, cruel and evil regime [de Israel]”, he stated, in a message released by the official IRNA agency.

Khamenei condemned the recent Israeli bombing of Beirut, which the Israeli army said caused the death of Nasrallah and other leaders of the pro-Iranian Shiite organization. “The killing of defenseless people in Lebanon once again revealed to everyone the ferocity of the rabid Zionist dog and demonstrated the shortsightedness and stupid policy of the leaders of the usurping regime [Israel]”.

The Iranian leader accused Israel of not having learned “from its year-long criminal war in Gaza”, in an allusion to the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian extremist group Hamas, also supported by Tehran. “Now they are trying the same senseless policy in Lebanon,” Khamenei said. “Zionist criminals should know that they are too small to cause significant damage to Hezbollah’s strong building in Lebanon. All resistance forces in the region are with Hezbollah and support it,” he said.

Khamenei added that the fate of the region “will be determined by the resistance forces and the proud Hezbollah at their head.”
