Government has already negotiated salary increases for 42% of public employees

Teachers, judicial officials, security forces (Public Security Police and Republican National Guard), prison guards, armed forces and, more recently, nurses. Since taking office in April, between agreements for the recovery of service time, salary and risk supplements or even salary increases, the Government of Luís Montenegro has already negotiated salary increases for 234,554 public employees, around 42% of the workers affected. to the Central Administration of the State, considering the latest indicators from the General Directorate of Administration and Public Employment (DGAEP). But the unions insist that “it remains to be fulfilled”.

On the prime minister’s agenda, scheduled for December, are the start of negotiations with doctors. But there are still technical careers that are awaiting review and to which the Montenegro Executive promised a deeper look from September onwards, but which remain without progress.
