House where Jeff Buckley lived in Memphis will be converted into an Airbnb

The house where Jeff Buckley lived in Memphis, United States, will be converted into an Airbnb, reports the local newspaper “Commercial Appeal”.

The house, located at 93 North Rembert Street, was purchased by the company Goode Development in March, for a value of around 128 thousand euros. At the moment, it is still being renovated, but it is expected to be available for rent from November.

Buckley’s family will not be connected in any way to the project. This house has long been the target of true pilgrimages by fans of the musician, who tragically passed away in 1997.

In this sense, Goode Development wants to transform it “into a tribute” to Buckley, but without turning it into “a Graceland for hipsters”.

The news comes in the same month that Jeff Buckley’s music was once again on the world’s lips: ‘Lover, You Should’ve Come Over’, one of his most loved songs by fans, recently reached 19th place in the sales charts from “Billboard” after going viral on TikTok.
