Calero’s emotional and intense talk on his first day at Levante
El Levante began the preseason and coach Calero… their charlas. The Parleño left pills of what he wants his team to be: solidarity, commitment, fun, work… The players listened to him attentively and, many thought, that this season they would have to eat a lot of mortadella sandwiches.
“Let’s have a good time.” Juli’s first sentence, to… end it with: “but we are going to work a lot“. Smiles and sweat will be the protagonists in this preseason. And remember ““Here you come to enjoy what we do.”.
No gestures
The Madrid coach touches the heart: “We have a profession that is hell“, and urges all of his team to fight every day to be part of the starting eleven of the games.
He also gives a warning to navigators through the gestures: “Not making faces, making faces won’t beat me.” Calero and ‘buenrollismo’ go hand in hand and that is what he wants for the Granota locker room.
