PGR goes to RTP before going to Parliament: Bloc “regrets” Lucília Gago’s request for postponement
After six years of almost total silence, the Attorney General of the Republic (PGR) agreed, for the first time, to provide clarifications to Parliament. Under fire since the fall of the socialist majority, Lucília Gago was summoned by the Bloco de Esquerda and the PAN to a hearing in Parliament on the annual activity report of the Public Ministry. Despite having acceded to the request, the PGR asked for a postponement of “a few weeks†to have the report in question finalized. This could call into question the Bloc’s expectation of moving forward with the hearing during this legislative session. But before going to Parliament, the PGR will finally give an interview: Monday night, on RTP.
