Caribbean destruction
Catastrophe in the Caribbean After hitting Jamaica, hurricane Beryl, category 4 (on a scale with a maximum of 5), advanced on Thursday to the Cayman Islands and Mexico. In Jamaica, intense rain and winds caused flooding and power cuts. There are records of at least 10 deaths, three of them in Granada (in the photo), one of the most affected countries. Beryl is the first hurricane of the season, which lasts until the end of November, and the strongest ever at the beginning of the season – which is expected to be exceptionally intense.
