Chega was divided, but made the Albuquerque program viable: Government in full operation in Madeira
A he threat of the new Government Program has once again loomed over Madeira, but Miguel Albuquerque can now breathe a sigh of relief. The document ended up being approved in the Legislative Assembly, on Thursday, thanks to Chega, having obtained 22 votes in favor (19 from the PSD, two from the CDS and one from the PAN) and the abstentions of three Chega deputies and the deputy of the Liberal Initiative (IL). There were also 21 votes against the program – 11 from PS, nine from JPP and one from Chega – with deputy Magna Costa contradicting the party’s voting direction.
