Bagnaia leads the start in Assen with Marc Márquez up top

Pecco Bagnaia dominated the first MotoGP free practice in the Netherlands, in Assen. The current champion is the favorite and he showed it quickly. Marc Márquez was on top at all times. Jorge Martín did not force.

The sky was cloudy, with 19 degrees in the environment and 33 on the asphalt. There is a chance of rain in the evening.

Just start, Aleix Espargaró had a slight but strange fall in the pit lane itself. He had a problem with the engine, because when he tried to restart it it was difficult and it sounded strange. After the stewards pushed him, he arrived at the box with his mount.

From the beginning, Ducati set the standardwith the Marquez and Bagnaia taking turns in first position. Almost everyone was wearing medium tires to get the measure of the track.

Many, like Acosta or Rins, had excursions along the wide asphalt loopholes… or gravel, like Bezzecchi.

At Yamaha they didn’t stop the three weeks that the others had off. They did a test in Valencia, finally avoiding the rain. On the Dutch track they have two different bikes on each side of the box: one with the new features and one without them.

In the last minutes, some chose to change tires and others, no. Bagnaia was first with a soft front and a half behind. The Italian, for Marc Márquezis “the man to beat this weekend.”

Raul Fernandez He was very close to beating him, but ran into Zarco, who was slow, in the final chicane.

Fabio Di Giannantoniowith new compounds, took the lead, but the stewards they canceled the turn for stepping outside in the penultimate corner. Marc started with new tires, but he cut at the end after a scare in that chicane at the entrance to the finish line. He was left without improving his time, although his feelings seem good, because he was among the best at all times.

Unlike other workouts, Martinator did not change its tires. If he did Quarterly and some Aprilia, to grow. Bagnaia left with the best time.

Moto3 and Moto2

In Moto3, surprise relative to not sending David Alonso, ‘only’ fourth. Those from MT MSi did it, with Iván Ortolá first and Yamanaka, second.

In Moto2, those of the MT MSi also dominated, with Ogura in front followed by Sergio García Dols. Third was Canet, already better physically, with the SpeedUp team behind him: Alonso Lóper and Aldeguer. Fall of Roberts, who was ninth.
