Contemplation huts and suspension bridges with panoramic views are new summer features in Évora resort

Octant Évora opens this Thursday, June 27th, this summer’s biggest attraction. This is the Perdiganito Reserve, an area designed to “preserve the authenticity of the natural reserve and provide experiences of contact with nature, as a couple or as a family, but mainly for children and teenagers†, explains the hotel, in a statement. The new area occupies a total of five hectares and extends to “the warm waters†of the Monte Novo dam, on the outskirts of Évora.

In the new Perdigantio Reserve, the Terra dos Exploradores space stands out, which “combines nature and play†. In addition to the outdoor areas, there are benches in the story tree, swings, wooden houses, a rope bridge, a game of noughts and crosses carved in wood, hanging bridges, hammocks and even a sundial. In the months of July and August, Octant Évora has a program full of activities, such as tours to the dam, visits to the farm and workshops of knots and moorings, of kites or pottery, but also a route of ropes or yoga kids. At night, the adventures continue with options such as flag hunting, treasure hunting, night orienteering and moonlit cinema.

Contemplation cabins

One of the great new features of the Perdiganito Reserve are the cabins with swings designed as rest areas, ideal for moments for two, picnics, nature observation, and for the more romantic, requests for marriage. With five distinct areas, which are connected via pedestrian trails, it is possible to take a yoga or a wine tasting. The Observation Tower, 5 meters high, allows you to contemplate nature and the starry sky of Alentejo. The Western Decks invite you to have gastronomic picnics, take a typical Alentejo siesta, enjoy cocktails at sunset or have dinner under the stars. For a sunrise breakfast, yoga classes, oxygen sessions, small events for up to 100 people, or even outdoor meetings, Deck da Barragem is a must-see. To discover all the new features of the reserve, the three hiking trails allow you to walk to the rhythm of nature, breathe the fresh air, and appreciate the entire surroundings of the Caminho do Lago, Caminho Nascente and Caminho Poente.
