Justin Timberlake’s lawyer guaranteed an “uncompromising defense†of the musician, who was subject to suggestions that he had consumed drugs before being arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol last Tuesday -fair.
PooCrave, a satirical account on X, a pun on PopCrave, a news site dedicated to the pop universe, claimed that Timberlake had MDMA, poppers and cocaine in the blood at the time of arrest. This publication went viral, obtaining more than 25 thousand retweets and more than 24 million views.
In statements to the press, the musician’s lawyer promised to combat such rumors: “I will have a lot to say, when appropriate. But I am waiting for the results of the investigation carried out by the Public Ministry.”
Timberlake, who will return to court on July 26, was formally charged with a crime of driving under the influence of alcohol. The musician will have refused to blow into the balloon upon arrest.
