“Banning cars with combustion engines is not beneficial”, argues leader of Fuels Europe

Liana Gouta has been the general director of Fuels Europe, the European association of fuel companies, since the beginning of this year. At the end of May she was in Portugal to participate in the Lisbon Energy Summit and spoke to Expresso about some of the challenges of decarbonization. The Greek manager calls on the European Commission to consider renewable fuels as an alternative to the electrification of road transport, backing down on the ban on the sale of new cars with combustion engines in 2035.
