Passenger educate fatally moves individual on tracks in Menlo Ground

MENLO PARK — A deadly strike in Menlo Ground involving a passenger educate briefly disrupted Caltrain carrier at the Peninsula.

A northbound Caltrain fatally struck an individual Friday evening, the rail carrier stated.

“At approximately 6:22 p.m., northbound train #711 fatally struck a person near the Menlo Park Station,” Caltrain spokesperson Dan Lieberman stated.

An estimated 31 nation had been on board the Caltrain on the while of the deadly incident, in keeping with Lieberman.

Not one of the passengers had been injured because of the deadly strike.

The person who was once killed upcoming being struck through the educate hasn’t been recognized.

An investigation was once underway in regards to the deadly incident.

“Trains are still single-tracking through the area” as of roughly 10:45 p.m. Friday evening, Lieberman stated. He added, “That should have minimal impact on service going forward.”
